Intensive Israeli air and artillery bombardments across Gaza Strip since dawn on Saturday have resulted in the deaths of 26 Palestinians. The strikes targeted residential apartments and tents housing displaced persons in various areas, including Gaza City, Deir al-Balah, and Khan Yunis.

Among those martyred was Yousef al-Zaq, identified as the world’s former youngest prisoner, who died when his family’s apartment on al-Thawra Street in central Gaza City was bombed. Yousef was born in an Israeli prison in 2008 to his mother, freed prisoner Fatima al-Zaq, who was detained at the time.

Bombardment by Israeli occupation forces resumed on the eastern areas of Gaza City. An airstrike on a residential apartment on Al-Wahda Street in the western Al-Rimal neighborhood reportedly caused multiple deaths and injuries. Four Palestinians were killed in a bombing targeting a building sheltering displaced persons in western Gaza City, while three others martyred in the bombing of the Al-Safadi family home on Jaffa Street. Shelling also hit the Zawiya market in the Daraj neighborhood, east of the city, causing several injuries.

Further casualties were reported in other incidents. Four Palestinians were martyred in a shelling that struck a tent near the gate of the Islamic University. A strike on a residential apartment in the “Teachers’ Building” in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood resulted in the deaths of three Palestinians.
In Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip, Suhaib al-Qarnawi, his wife, and their children were martyred when their tent in the Manasra camp was shelled.

In the southern Gaza Strip, Palestinian media reported the recovery of the bodies of two martyrs from the Sheikh Nasser area east of Khan Yunis. Additionally, freed prisoner Imad Mansour was killed in the shelling of tents housing displaced persons in the Al-Mawasi area south of the city.
Meanwhile, the Government Media Office in Gaza announced a separate cumulative death toll from incidents it described as “death traps” perpetrated against Palestinians attempting to reach humanitarian aid, stating the figure had risen to 773 martyrs, alongside 5,101 injuries and 41 missing persons.
