Lovers of Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah have filled the streets of Beirut and Dahiyeh on Sunday to take part in the funeral of the late resistance leader and Sayyed Hashem Safeiddine.
Camille Chamoun Sports City Stadium and the surrounding area were crowded with mourners in a scene described as a sea of people who flocked to the Lebanese capital and the its southern suburb, Dahiyeh.
Al-Manar correspondent said the stadium’s stands were almost filled since dawn on Sunday, with photos and videos showing the unprecedented gathering going viral on social media.

The funeral is to start at 13:00 (Beirut time). Hezbollah current leader Sheikh Naim Qassem is deliver a speech during the funeral.
The funeral march will then set off to the site where Sayyed Nasrallah will be laid to rest near Airport Road.
Sayyed Safeiddine will be laid to rest on Monday in his southern hometown of Deir Qanoun Al-Nahr.
The committee tasked with organizing the funeral said officials and activists from at least 79 states take part in the funeral.
Beirut’s Dahiyeh was boiling with sorrow on Saturday as mourners flocked to the area to take part in the funeral.
