Sirens which were heard in the Zionist entity near Dimona after Israeli defense system failed to intercept a Syrian missile that landed all the way in the Negev Desert.
Israeli media reported that alarms sounded in Abu Qrenat near Dimona in the South, adding that Syria fired the missile in response to an Israeli Air Force aggression near Damascus. Israel frequently strikes Syria to prevent Iranian entrenchment in the country as well as weapons shipments to Hezbollah in Lebanon.
Initial reports indicated that sirens sounded off as Israeli settlers voiced concerns on social media regarding a loud explosion and reports of settlements shaking. Israelis had also reported feeling blasts in Al-Quds (Jerusalem) and across the Zionist entity’s center.
The occupation army activated its air defense systems in an attempt to intercept the missile, however, the attempt failed, The Jerusalem Post reported.
Early reports indicated that the explosion was the result of a Patriot missile battery – a missile defense system – responding to the firing of the missile into the occupation territories The occupation army later confirmed the reports and on Thursday morning, missile parts were located in the swimming pool in the so-called settlement of Ashalim in Negev.
