The United States still plans to ‘lead a global fight against the ISIL’ terrorist group despite its withdrawal from Syria, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo claimed on Wednesday.

“America will continue to lead in giving those who would destroy us no quarter,” Pompeo told a 79-nation conference in Washington, referring to the battle against the ISIL terrorist group.
