The Zionist newspaper “Maariv” said Tuesday that the new reality in the Middle East points towards an alternative partner for the Zionist entity to replace the Palestinians.

The Hebrew daily highlighted that Arab countries, “especially the moderate ones who fear a wave of Islamic extremism and have strong common interests with Israel” constitutes an alternative partner.

“The role of these countries must be to confiscate the Palestinian cause from the hands of the Palestinians, and to settle it within a broader Arab framework through a willingness to impose the necessary compromises to make historic solution with the Palestinians,” Maariv added.
