Turkey called for an emergency meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) this week, the government spokesman said on Monday, following the horrible massacre committed by Israeli occupation forces in Gaza.
Ankara wants the emergency meeting to be held on Friday, spokesman Bekir Bozdag said.
On the bloodiest single day for Palestinians since the Israeli war on Gaza in 2014, occupation troops killed nearly 60 Palestinian on the Gaza border on Monday as the United States opened its embassy to Israel in Al-Quds.
The spokesman added that Ankara has recalled its ambassadors to the Zionist entity and the United States.
The diplomats, currently stationed in Washington, DC and Tel Aviv, will return to Turkey for “consultations”, Bozdag said, adding that three days of national mourning had been declared in solidarity with Palestine.
