Hezbollah denounced the assassination of Jordanian writer and journalist Nahed Hattar, who was shot dead in Amman on Sunday, calling for punishing the perpetrators of the crime.

In a statement released by the party’s Media Relations, Hezbollah praised Hattar as “a struggler against the Zionist scheme and a defender of the Palestinian cause and the axis of resistance.”

“He was really a loud and echoing voice in confronting the Takfiri acts and genocides,” said the statemnet which was released few hours after Hattar’s assassination.

Hezbollah offered condolences to Hattar’s family and friends, calling on the Jordanian authorities to punish the perpetrators of this crime and those who stand behind them.
