The Syrian President Bashar Assad stressed on Wednesday that the terrorist plot in Syria has fallen, confirming that regaining control over the entire country is a priority.

Receiving the Iranian deputy foreign minister Hussein Jaberi Ansari and the accompanying delegation, President Assad highlighted the role of Iran and all the friendly countries in supporting Syria against the terrorist groups.

President Assad also said that the military achievements made by the Syrian army and allies were behind the change of the political stances of some western countries, adding that those governments must also halt supporting the terrorist groups.

Jaberi Ansari had met with the Syrian FM Walid Al-Moallem, stressing that liberating the outskirts of western Qalamoun is a great achievement.
