The Syrian Arab Army established control over a number of hills and vantage points overlooking Ark gas field northeast of Palmyra city in Homs province, a military source announced on Saturday evening.
The source told SANA that army units, in cooperation with allied forces, continued their operations against ISIL northeast of Palmyra, establishing control over hills and vantage points overlooking Ark gas field, reaching positions 4 kilometers from the field, inflicting losses in personnel and equipment on ISIL terrorists.
The Syrian-Russian warplanes struck a large convoy of ISIL terrorists who were on their Sukhna – Deir Ezzor way from Raqqa, destroying scores of vehicles.
