Tensions erupted in the West Bank as Israeli settlers clashed with occupation security forces outside a military base and torched a multi-million-shekel security installation in the area.
Israeli occupation army said on Monday Israeli settlers “set fire to and vandalized” an Israeli “security site” used for surveillance in the Ramallah area of the occupied West Bank.
Photographs shared by the military in a post on X appear to show burned computer servers and other equipment as well as graffiti in Hebrew.
“Damage to the site poses a danger to the safety of residents,” the Israeli army said.

“The [Israeli military] condemns any act of violence against security forces and expects the security forces to bring to justice those Israelis who harm the security forces fulfilling their role in protecting the safety of Israeli civilians.”
According to The Times of Israel, the incident occurred after settlers earlier rioted outside a nearby army base.
Earlier on Sunday, Israeli Army Radio reported that attacks by illegal Israeli settlers on Palestinians in the occupied West Bank have surged by 30% this year.

Anadolu cited the Israeli Army Radio as saying that the first half of 2025 saw 414 settler attacks, up from 318 in the first half of last year.
“This represents a significant increase of about 30% compared to the same period last year,” the Israeli Army Radio reported, citing occupation government data.
