The Fourth Great Criminal court in Bahrain gave Ayatollah Sheikh Issa Qassem one year suspended prison sentence along with manager of Al-Bayan office for religious revisions, Sheikh Hussein Youssef Al-Qassab, and office member Mirza Al-Darazi.
Bahrain lawyer Mohsen Al-Alawi stated that the court has imposed a penalty on Sheikh Qassem, Sheikh Qassab, and Darazi worth 100 thousand Dinars, as well as the confiscation of the Khums money and two other land properties.
As soon as the sentence was issued, calls for intensifying masses around the house of Sheikh Qassem went out, and a massive rally in Daraz took off chanting against Bahrain King, Hamad bin Issa and denouncing the sentence.
Bahrain sources said that “the regime in Bahrain had committed its major crime with this unjust sentence against the political majority.”
The sources assured that action will be taken and called upon the Bahraini people to march toward Al-Fadaa field in Daraz to defend “religion, believes and slogans”.
The sources added that “if people couldn’t enter Daraz reaching Al-Fadaa field, let them form a ring of marchers towards Daraz all day.”
