President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, on Friday condemned the Israeli military escalation targeting the Nabatieh and Iqlim Al-Tuffah regions and endangering civilians, denouncing what he described as “Israel’s continued violation of Lebanon’s sovereignty and the November ceasefire agreement.”
“Israel persists in ignoring regional and international calls to halt violence and de-escalation efforts,” Aoun said in a statement, stressing that such actions necessitate “a decisive response from the international community to put an end to these aggression, which undermine the ongoing efforts to stabilize Lebanon and the wider region.”
Meanwhile, prime minister Nawaf Salam denounced the Israeli aggression, stressing that it poses a threat to stability.
A Lebanese woman was martyred and 21 others were injured on Friday as Israeli enemy launched a series of powerful strikes that targeted several areas in Nabatieh in south Lebanon, including a residential apartment.
