Hezbollah received on Tuesday condolences and congratulations on the martyrdom of the Master of the Nation’s Martyrs, Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah, and the Hashemite martyr Sayyed Hashem Safieddine, at the Ashura courtyard in the Jamous area, Beirut’s Dahiyeh, in the presence of a crowd of Lebanese and foreign political, religious, cultural and military figures, and large crowds of people.
The mourning ceremony was attended by:
-Amal Movement delegation which included the member of the Development and Liberation Bloc, MP Ayoub Hamid, and the head of the Executive Committee, Jamil Hayek.
-A delegation from the Palestinian resistance factions
-Delegations from Tunisia, Iraq, Yemen, Nigeria and Iran
-Hamed Al-Khaffaf, the representative of the highest religious authority, Sayyed Ali Al-Sistani
-A delegation from the Syrian Social Nationalist Party
-A delegation of officers from the Internal Security Forces and General Security
-A delegation from the National Media Gathering
-The head of the “People’s Movement”, former MP Najah Wakim
-Former MP Emile Emile Lahoud
-Former Minister Zaher Al-Khatib
-Head of the Free Patriotic Movement, MP Gebran Bassil, and the accompanying delegation
-Former head of the “Progressive Socialist Party” Walid Jumblatt
In the same context, Jumblatt stressed that “this is a great and sad day in the history of the Islamic and Arab nation,” adding, “We support the complete liberation and the implementation of international resolutions.”
Lovers of Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah have filled the streets of Beirut and Dahiyeh on Sunday to take part in the funeral of the late Hezbollah leader and his successor, Secretary General Martyr Sayyed Hashem Safieddine.
Hezbollah and the Islamic Resistance supporters mourned on Monday the former Secretary General Martyr Sayyed Hashem Safieddine in his home town, Deir Qanoun Al-Nahr, in South Lebanon. The massive funeral was attended by local and regional political and social figures.
