Hezbollah issued late Sunday a statement to mourn the Head of its Media Relations Department Hajj Mohammad Afif Al-Naboulsi who had embraced martyrdom, along with a number of his brethren, earlier on the same day in a treacherous Zionist air raid.
The statement indicated that Martyr Afif joined his beloved companion Hezbollah’s former Secretary General Martyr Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah who used to get power from his wisdom and loyalty.
The statement described the martyr as a lion in the media arena [a formidable figure], who boldly declared to the enemy, “Resistance is a nation, and a nation never dies.”
Martyr Afif was entrusted to the voice of the Resistance and one of the prominent figures of Hezbollah’s media, political, and jihadi procession, according to the statement.
The statement affirmed that Martyr Afif drew the features of the battle through his audacious press conference in Beirut’s Dahiyeh, underlining his bravery in facing the Zionist death threats.
According to the statement, Hezbollah offered deep condolences to Imam Mahdi (A.S.), the Supreme Leader of the Muslims, Hezbollah Secretary General Sheikh Naim Qassem, the Islamic Resistance fighters, and Martyr Afif’s patient’s family.
He was the man who was fully sure about reaching victory. The impact of his speeches was stronger than that of the Israeli air raids which failed to terrify him.
He held several press conferences in Beirut’s Dahiyeh during the war days, disregarding the Zionist threats till embracing martyrdom all the way to Al-Quds.
He is Martyr Hajj Mohammad Afif Al-Naboulsi, aka, Mohammad Afif. Afif, the son of the prominent Shiite scholar Afif Naboulsi, was born in Al-Baysariya, Sidon district.
Martyr Afif was one of the most important Hezbollah’s media figures who was tasked to convey critical messages and ideas to the public during the hard times.
He was the media advisor of the former Secretary General of Hezbollah Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah before turning in 2014 to be the head of the Party’s Media Relations Department.
In 2006 War, Martyr Afif was the director of the News and Political Programs directorate at Al-Manar TV, knowing that he served as the Channel’s General Director in its early stages.
