In a devastating attack, dozens of citizens have been martyred and injured as the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip persists for the 109th consecutive day. Local sources have reported that Israeli occupation aircraft targeted the tents of displaced individuals in Al-Mawasi, resulting in the death of multiple citizens and leaving dozens wounded.
The victims were rushed to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital after a car carrying displaced persons from Khan Yunis to the Central Governorate of Gaza was bombed on the coastal road. Tragically, more citizens lost their lives after the occupation aircraft targeted a house belonging to the Dahnoun family in Beit Lahia. Additionally, the Israeli occupation artillery mercilessly bombed the vicinity of the Beach Camp in Gaza City.

The Israeli warplanes have also targeted citizens in the eastern part of the Central Governorate. The occupation forces have further intensified their aggression by firing flares in the airspace of the central Gaza Strip and carrying out artillery shelling on agricultural land in the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood.
The occupation boats have relentlessly bombarded the coastal areas of Gaza City and the northern Gaza Strip, adding to the already dire situation. Since the beginning of the aggression on the seventh of October last year, the number of martyrs has reached approximately 25,300, with 63,000 injured, most of whom are women and children. Thousands of victims remain trapped under rubble and on inaccessible roads.

Elderly individuals with chronic diseases residing in displacement camps in Rafah are enduring extreme suffering due to the severe cold and scarcity of medical assistance. Displaced from their homes in Gaza City and the north, these individuals sought refuge in the southern Gaza Strip, only to face unbearable conditions with a lack of basic necessities and proper living conditions.

This population of displaced individuals in Rafah is deprived of electricity, water, and adequate medical care. Contaminated water and limited aid, assistance, and medicine further exacerbate the suffering of the elderly. Hospitals and medical teams are struggling to cope with the overwhelming pressure from patients and displaced individuals, putting many lives at risk.
Those suffering from diabetes, high blood pressure, and cancer find themselves unable to access the necessary treatments due to the ongoing Israeli aggression and besiegement of Gaza. Hospitals and health centers estimate that about 350,000 patients with chronic diseases are currently residing in shelter centers after being displaced from their homes, enduring immense pain and illness.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health has documented the martyrdom of 337 medical personnel and the deliberate destruction of 150 health institutions. This has caused the collapse of the health system and infrastructure, rendering 30 hospitals and 53 healthcare centers out of service. In addition, 121 ambulances and civil defense vehicles have been destroyed. The international community has been criticized for failing to establish a safe humanitarian corridor for medical aid and the evacuation of wounded individuals from the Israeli occupation’s restrictions and siegement.
Displaced individuals in Rafah not only carry the weight of losing their children due to the genocidal war, but they also face severe lacking in water, food, and proper shelter. They long for a better living condition and swift reconstruction to return to their homes.
The people of Gaza have endured more than three months of oppression and humiliation as a consequence of the war crimes committed by the Israeli occupation. Displaced to Rafah, the southernmost part of the Gaza Strip on the border with Egypt, they desperately plead for the provision of basic necessities to enable them to defy the challenges while awaiting the expedited reconstruction of their homes.
