Russian air defenses successfully repelled a mass drone attack by Ukrainian Armed Forces on August 30. The attack targeted civilian infrastructure and was considered a war crime by international law.
According to Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, one Ukrainian drone was downed by air defense systems in Ruzsky urban district, a Moscow suburb. The drone attack was carried out on a massive scale, with many of the UAVs targeting civilian areas.

Reports suggest that the drone attack resulted in no casualties, with Russian air defenses able to intercept and neutralize the threat. Emergency services were quick to respond to the incident, with fire crews dispatched to put out small fires caused by the drones.
The governor of the Pskov region, Mikhail Vedernikov, confirmed that the airport in Pskov suffered a drone attack but was quickly able to repel the attackers. A fire broke out at the airport, but it was quickly isolated, and there was no threat of it spreading.
The drone attack on the Pskov airport consumed an Il-76 military transport aircraft, but there were no casualties. Emergency services were promptly dispatched to the site, with 21 units of equipment and 65 people working to eliminate the consequences.
In Sevastopol, Crimea, the governor reported that Ukrainian drones were spotted in the area, but Russian air defense forces were able to repel the attack. Despite the best efforts of the attackers, no damage was sustained, and there were no reported casualties.
