Lebanon registered on Sunday 2,081 new coronavirus cases and 54 related deaths, Ministry of Public Health announced.

In its daily report, the ministry said 2,056 new infections were recorded among local residents, while the other 25 cases were imported, raising the total infections nationwide since February to 319,917.

54 new fatalities were registered over the past 24 hours, raising the nationwide death toll to 3,616, the ministry stated.

10,884 PCR tests were conducted in the last 24 hours, including 1,678 at Beirut International Airport, according to the report.

2,241 coronavirus patients have been hospitalized in the last 24 hours, including 902 at the ICU rooms with 309 of them are on ventilators, the report added.
