The report added that 16362 PCR tests were conducted during the past 24 hours, adding that the number of cases of recovery from the coronavirus rose to 172497.

According to the report, 68 new coronavirus-related death cases were registered, which raised toll to 2621.

To face this sharp increase in the coronavirus cases, the Lebanese authorities extended a total lockdown that has started on January 14 and will be enforced till February 8.
