The Lebanese Health Parliamentary Committee endorsed on Wednesday a draft law that organizes the utilization of the medical products to fight the coronavirus pandemic.
The endorsement came after several sessions held by the committee which tackled the legal as well as medical aspects of the draft law.
Meanwhile, the House Speaker Nabih Berri called on the members of the parliament to convene on Fridayat 14:00 at the UNESCO Palace to approve the draft law.
Lebanon has witnessed a sharp increase in the number of the coronavirus infections with a total of 226948 cases, imposing a total lockdown which starts on January 14 and lasts for 11 days.
The Health Minister, Dr. Hamad Hasan, has reiterated that Lebanon will obtain two million shots of Pfizer vaccine in February; however, the firm requested a number of legal guarantees to conclude the final agreement with the Lebanese authorities.
