Lebanon registered on Tuesday 469 new coronavirus cases and 4 related deaths, Ministry of Public Health announced.
In its daily report, the ministry said that the number of coronavirus infections rose by 469 to 17,777, noting that just three of the new cases were imported while the other 466 cases were registered among local residents.
4 patients lost their lives in the last 24 hours, raising the toll of coronavirus-related deaths to 171 since the announcement of first infection last February, the report added.
The ministry said, meanwhile that 10,713 PCR tests were conducted over the past 24 hours, including 1,974 tests at Beirut International Airport. The other 8,739 tests were conducted in laboratories across the country, the ministry clarified.
344 patients were hospitalized in the last 24 hours, with 97 of them have been in the Intensive Care Units, the report added.
The number of recoveries reached 4988, according to the report.
