Hezbollah MP Hassan Fadlallah reiterated on Tuesday the party’s commitment to naming the head of the Free Patriotic Movement General Michel Aoun for the presidency of the Lebanese republic.
“Both candidates merit all respect and appreciation,” the lawmaker answered a question at the Parliament, in reference to both Aoun and MP Sleiman Frangieh.
“This is our position and it has been confirmed by Hezbollah’s Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah,” he said.
In the wake of the Information and Telecoms Parliamentary Committee’s meeting on Tuesday, Member of Parliament, Sayyed Hassan Fadlallah, said that the Committee enjoyed the full right to form a parliamentary investigative committee to press charges against those accused in the illegal internet dossier.
“Our prime goal to hold all those involved accountable,” the lawmaker said, confirming that the illegal internet dossier has finally been placed on the right track so that the concerned judicial authorities can perform their required duties properly.
“All we wish for is to have the judicial body have its say in the matter. We seek justice and accountability regardless of the identity of those involved,” he added.
