President of the Republic, General Michel Aoun and Prime Minister Saad Hariri, affirmed the government’s commitment to free the Lebanese territories from terrorists and uttered commitment to the international coalition against terrorism.
They underlined the need “not to miss any opportunity to combat and deter terrorism.”
The President and the Prime Minister attended a meeting for the Higher Defense Council held at the Baabda Palace, headed by Aoun, in the presence of Hariri and ministers, as well as ranking military and security leaders.
Conferees discussed the military and security situation, especially in Arsal, Ras Baalbek and Al-Qaa mountains, with talks touching on the necessary decisions for the success of the military operation against ISIL terrorists.
