The regime in Bahrain has taken decision to storm Diraz and attack the house of Ayatollah Sheikh Issa Al-Qassem, well-informed Bahraini sources reported late on Monday, a day after a court gave the senior cleric one year suspended prison sentence.
The sources said that the regime forces were boosting their military presence in Al-Badee near the sit-in staged by Bahraini people in a bid to defend the prominent Shiite religious reference.
Meanwhile, people taking part in the sit-in near the house of Sheikh Qassem were on alert as they knew about the regime intentions to storm Diraz, according to the sources.
Later on Tuesday morning, Bahraini activists reportd that regime forces removed some cement blocks at the entrance of Diraz, in a bid to attack the house of Ayatollah Qassem.
For their part, Bahraini scholars called on Bahrainis to head towards the sit-in near the house of Ayatollah Qassem, in order to defend their religious reference.
On Sunday, the Fourth Great Criminal court in Bahrain gave Ayatollah Sheikh Issa Qassem one year suspended prison sentence, as it ruled to confiscate the Khums money and two other land properties as well.
