The Russian Defense Ministry said Tuesday that the field situation in the de-escalation zones in Syria is assessed as stable, despite registering violations in the areas controlled by ISIL and Nusra Front terrorist organizations.
In a statement published on its website, the Ministry said that the situation in the de-escalation zones remains stable despite that the control groups monitoring the ceasefire have registered within last 24 hours 13 violations; 4 in Damascus countryside, 2 in Latakia countryside, 6 in Hama countryside, and 1 in Idlib.
The Ministry said that most of these violations were cases of firing randomly from small arms registered in the areas where ISIL and al-Nusra terrorist groups are active.
On Monday, the control groups monitoring the ceasefire registered 9 violations in Damascus, Daraa, Hama and Homs.
