Iranian security services revealed, during a series of complex security and intelligence operations carried out in less than 48 hours, the thwarting of the largest sabotage plot of its kind. The plot, spearheaded by multiple networks affiliated with Israeli Mossad spy agency, targeted vital facilities and Iranian internal security, with direct support from local agents and foreign logistical coordination.
The operations included dismantling cells, confiscating weapons, and capturing drones and suicide bombers in various provinces, most notably Tehran, Alborz, Khorramabad, Ilam, and Arak.
In the capital, Tehran, security forces seized 127 kilograms of explosives and 3 liters of highly explosive liquids after a public report revealed a cache on Navvab Street.
In the city of Shahriar, a drone attack attempt targeting a sensitive site was thwarted, with citizens helping to monitor the movements and arrest the attackers.
In Pishwa, security forces uncovered a drone manufacturing workshop, seized 23 ready-to-use drones, and arrested two individuals involved in their operation.
In Alborz Province, Spike missiles and advanced electronic guidance devices were seized, as they were intended for use in precision operations. A suicide attack was also thwarted in Baharestan, where a car bomb loaded with explosives, drones, and weapons was seized.
In Khorramabad, a qualitative blow described as the most serious was dealt, with the arrest of a neurologist and his son who were running a secret network storing more than 200 to 300 drones, intended for a large-scale attack on the Imam Ali (AS) base.
In Ilam Province, an individual working at a sensitive position was arrested after being implicated in spying for Zionist entities. Meanwhile, in the city of Ray, an armed cell planning an attack in crowded areas of Tehran was dismantled, along with the arrest of an Afghan student in possession of electronic files for manufacturing drones and bombs.
Authorities in Arak Province also announced the dismantling of an entire Mossad cell after a meticulous surveillance operation. In Lorestan, five spies involved in cyber sabotage were arrested.
Security authorities confirmed that the success of these operations was the result of the integration of field intelligence work and citizen cooperation, emphasizing that the intelligence war is ongoing and that any threat to national security will be met with a swift and decisive response.
