Yemen’s Supreme Political Council President Mahdi al-Mashat issued a grave ultimatum to Israelis on Tuesday, vowing “devastating and painful” retaliation following Israeli strikes on Yemeni civilian infrastructure.
“From now on, take shelter in your bunkers or leave our region immediately,” al-Mashat declared after Israeli occupation launched an airstrike on Sanaa, targeting its civilian airport, power stations, and factories in various areas.

Al-Mashat’s remarks came after the Israeli occupation launched an airstrike on Sanaa, targeting its civilian airport, power stations, and factories in various areas.

The Yemeni leader doubled down on his country’s support for Gaza, affirming that “Our strikes are effective, and they will continue” until “the aggression ends and the siege on Gaza is lifted.”
The dramatic escalation coincided with former US President Trump’s unexpected announcement of a halt to American airstrikes against Yemen, claiming Sanaa had committed to ending Red Sea attacks on ships.

However, Ansar Allah leadership quickly contradicted this assertion, with senior official Mohammed al-Bukhaiti clarifying that while operations against US warships might pause if American strikes ceased, military actions supporting Gaza would “continue unabated.”
Al-Mashat later revealed that Sanaa had indirectly warned Washington that continued regional escalation would “only affect the visits of the criminal Trump to the region,” adding, “If the criminal Trump wants to stop his aggression and compensate for the destruction he left behind, that is up to him.”
Though Oman’s Foreign Ministry confirmed brokering a ceasefire agreement between the US and Sanaa authorities, the US State Department specified the agreement applied strictly to Red Sea maritime operations.
