In a sermon delivered after Eid al-Fitr prayers in Tehran, Iran’s Supreme Leader Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei denounced ‘Israel’ as the “only proxy force” in the region and called for its eradication.
Addressing worshippers at the Imam Khomeini Mosalla Grand Prayer Grounds, Khamenei said the criminal Zionist regime is committing genocide and must be “uprooted from Palestine.
“The Westerners accuse the zealous youths of the regional nations of being proxies. I would like to say that there is only one proxy force in this region which is the corrupt usurping [Israeli] regime,” the Leader stated.

Imam Khamenei accused ‘Israel’ of invading other countries on behalf of colonial powers and warned that any wicked act by Iran’s enemies would receive a crushing and decisive blow in response.
The Leader lamented the bloody incidents in Gaza, Lebanon and Palestine that have made the people’s lives bitter during Ramadan. He also denounced the total disregard of human rights defenders for the killing of 20,000 Palestinian children by ‘Israel’.
Khamenei called it a “religious, moral and humanitarian duty to strive to eradicate the Israeli regime” and said the people of Europe and the US would protest more if they were fully informed of “US-Israeli criminal acts.”
“This criminal gang must be uprooted from Palestine and it will be uprooted. Everyone must strive to eliminate this evil entity from the region,” the leader asserted.
