The death toll in Gaza has reached 71 on the third day of the Israeli occupation’s renewed aggression, with casualties reported in both northern and southern areas. Since the assault began, over 700 Palestinians have been killed, and more than 900 have been wounded.
Israeli airstrikes targeted homes in Abasan, east of Khan Younis, along with two houses in Al-Fukhari and a food aid distribution warehouse in Ma’an. In Rafah, multiple Palestinians were injured as Israeli warplanes bombed homes in the Musabah area.
Rescue teams are struggling to retrieve those trapped under collapsed buildings, facing severe equipment shortages. In northern Gaza, more than 50 bodies were taken to the Indonesian Hospital in Beit Lahia following overnight strikes, while overwhelmed medical teams battle critical shortages in essential supplies.
A harrowing scene unfolded in Abasan when rescuers pulled infant Ayla Abu Daqqa from the rubble of her family home. The airstrike killed her parents and all relatives, leaving her as the sole survivor in a chilling testament to the war’s brutality.

Health Ministry spokesperson Khalil Deqran confirmed that 70% of the wounded are women and children, with many in critical condition. He warned that some victims are dying due to a lack of urgent medical care amid the Israeli enemy’s blockade.
Limited Ground Operation
The Israeli occupation announced the launch of a limited ground operation in Gaza, claiming the lives of at least 60 Palestinians in fresh airstrikes. The Israeli occupation army claimed its troops were “expanding defensive lines” and advancing along the central Netzarim corridor. The Golani Brigade has reportedly been deployed to the southern sector.
At least 71 Gazans, including women and children, have been killed in predawn attacks by Israeli airstikes in the north and south of the Gaza enclave.

Zionist War Minister Yisrael Katz also declared plans for “voluntary migration” from Gaza, signaling a further escalation. Meanwhile, the Zionist entity insists its military campaign aims to pressure Hamas into concessions on prisoner negotiations.
The Israeli enemy resumed its assault after rejecting the next phase of the ceasefire deal, continuing a devastating war that has ravaged Gaza since October 2023, leaving behind unprecedented destruction and a worsening humanitarian crisis.
