Israeli media initially said that two gunmen carried out the attack on bus at the so-called Giti Avisar junction, near the West Bank settlement of Ariel.
Israeli occupation forces shot dead an attacker at the scene, The Times of Israeli reported, adding that a large number of forces have launched a pursuit after a potential second gunman.
However, an Israeli military source said that after scanning the area of the shooting attack, the army has ruled out the possibility of a second attacker.
“Only one gunman carried out the attack, and he was shot dead at the scene,” the source said, according to The Times of Israel.
