Lebanon General Security Chief, Major General Abbas Ibrahim, told Al-Manar TV reporter that as long as the crises are ongoing in the neighboring countries, the terrorist groups continue posing a serious threat to Lebanon.
General Ibrahim, however, maintained that Lebanon security forces have managed to curb that terrorist danger to the extent which made the country enjoy a security situation better than that in a lot of states.
Commenting on the file of the financial firms which had been transacting funds to ISIL terrorists, General Ibrahim clarified that the General Security kept monitoring the group for 2 years before obtaining the clear-cut evidence which confirms their involvement.
In this regard, General Ibrahim stressed that the General Security has trained special force entitled to following up the terrorists’ files in order to seize them.
General Ibrahim also promised all the Lebanese that services provided by the General security will improve during his new term in office.
