More than 100 Palestinians were martyred and many more wounded while performing their morning prayers at the Al-Tabieen school in Gaza City early Saturday morning. The Government Media Office in Gaza reported that the Israeli occupation army launched a direct attack on the school, where displaced individuals seeking refuge had gathered for prayers.

The enormity of the massacre has left medical and civil defense teams struggling to retrieve all the bodies, with more than 300 people present at the time of the bombing. The media office held both “Israel” and the US administration responsible for the horrific attack, calling for condemnation from the international community.

In a statement, the government office demanded that the occupation cease its genocide and ethnic cleansing in Gaza, urging international organizations to intervene and put an end to the violence.

It condemned this “horrific massacre in the strongest terms and [called] on the entire world to condemn it.” The government office also demanded that the international community and international organizations put pressure on the occupation to stop the genocide and ethnic cleansing in Gaza.

The UN agency for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA) says Israeli military forced between 60,000 and 70,000 people to evacuate from Khan Younis in southern Gaza towards the already densely crowded al-Mawasi area.

The ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza since October 7, 2023, has so far resulted in 39,699 documented Palestinian fatalities, mostly women and children, in addition to 91,722 injuries.
