Israeli occupation forces launched a late-night airstrike on several locations in southern Syria, resulting in the deaths of two individuals and causing injury to a Syrian serviceman, as stated by the Syrian Defense Ministry.
The attack took place at approximately 23:40 local time and was carried out from the occupied Golan Heights, the ministry revealed. Despite Syrian air defense systems being activated to intercept incoming missiles, casualties were still inflicted, and significant material damage was reported.
“Our air defense systems responded to enemy missiles and shot down some of them. As a result of the aggression, two people were killed and one serviceman was wounded,” the Syrian ministry said.
This attack is just one of many instances where ‘Israel’ continues to violate Syria’s sovereignty by conducting airstrikes from Lebanese and Israeli airspace, causing harm and destruction. Just recently, in late May, Syrian air defense systems successfully repelled another missile attack near the city of Homs in western Syria.
