`News reports about the exchange rate of the Lebanese pound against the US dollar on the black market must be updated every one hour as the rising arrow indicates that the economic crisis will keep exacerbating.
At the time of preparing this report, the US dollar is sold on the black market for 56,650 Lebanese Lira amid complete absence of any governmental measures to cope with the inflation surge.
The Central Bank’s endeavor to curb the deterioration by selling fresh dollars via Sayrafa platform which provides lower prices has also failed to address the roots of the calamity.
Accordingly, the prices of gasoline, diesel and gas increased remarkably as shown in the following table:

In addition, Lebanon is suffering from power outage crisis and a renewed bread scarcity trouble, which makes the living conditions in the country extremely dreadful.
US Intervention
The United States responsible for the economic siege imposed on Lebanon in order to reach certain political targets, continued implementing its interference scheme.
In this regard, the US ambassador to Lebanon, Dorothy Shea, announced on Wednesday a financial aid to the Lebanese army and security forces, explaining that every serviceman will receive $100 per month.
Due to the US siege, the value of the Lebanese soldier’s salary decreased from $800 to $75, leaving the servicemen with dreadful living conditions.
Thus, the US hypocrite aid comes in the context of the US political pressures on Lebanon.
