Lebanese President Michel Aoun on Monday chaired a meeting to follow up on discussions over negotiations with the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
The meeting at Baabda Presidential Palace was attended by Prime Minister Najib Mikati, Deputy Prime Minister Saade Chami, Minister of Finance Youssef Al-Khalil and Minister of Economy Amin Salam.
Meanwhile on Monday, Aoun welcomed Mikati who briefed the president on the outcome of his visit to Paris and on his talks with French President, Emmanuel Macron, National News Agency reported.
Mikati’s visit tackled the Lebanese situation and the support provided by France to enable Lebanon to overcome difficulties.
