Forest fires  renewed in the town of Nayir in the region of Mount Akroum due to strong winds, according to media reports.

Residents called on the concerned authorities to intervene quickly and send a military helicopter to prevent the fire from reaching the nearby forest areas.

On Wednesday, a wildfire erupted in the forests of Akkar and Bekaa, devouring swathes of green territories. The Lebanese Army units, Civil Defense teams and Hezbollah firefighters managed to put out the blaze; however, the hot weather and strong winds have caused the fire to re-erupt.
