Lebanese caretaker Health Minister Hamad Hasan said that the nationwide vaccination plan against COVID-19 has been revised to include more people.
In an interview with Al-Manar on Sunday, Hasan said the revised plan will be implemented on April 1, urging Lebanese nationals to register on the ministry’s platform in order to take the vaccine.
“Actually the vaccination plan is one of the major measures that prevent or at least delay the third wave of COVID-19.”
He noted that 48,000 doses of Astrazeneca vaccine is to arrive in Lebanon in a week, adding that other 50,000 doses of the Chinese vaccine are also to arrive in the country soon.
By the end of June, Lebanon will have 2 million vaccine doses, the outgoing minister said.
