Receiving the first batch of Pfizer vaccines at Beirut airport, the caretaker Minister of Public Health, Dr. Hamad Hasan, expressed his great satisfaction with the arrival of the anti-coronavirus vaccine in Beirut, a year after the pandemic stormed Lebanon.
Speaking from Beirut airport, he said: “The government was able, despite all the challenges, and with the support of the President of the Republic, the House Speaker and the Caretaker Prime Minister, to achieve this dream.”
Dr. Hasan stressed that “the vaccine will reach every Lebanese citizen without political or sectarian considerations, as well as every resident on Lebanese soil.”
For her part, the caretaker Information Minister, Dr. Manal Abdel Samad Najd, stressed that “receiving the vaccine is more secure than the risk of infection.”
It is worth noting that the vaccination campaign in Lebanon will start on Sunday as the 28500 vaccine shots will be distributed over several centers.
