Member of the “Loyalty to Resistance” parliamentary bloc, MP Hasan Fadlallah issued on Saturday a statement in which he reiterated his call on the Lebanon’s judiciary authorities to take all the necessary legal measures against all the banks and money changers involved in manipulating the US dollar exchange rate against the Lebanese pound.

The statement indicated that the culprits are involved in deliberate speculation which violates laws at the expense of the national currency’s value and the living conditions of the Lebanese people.

MP Fadlallah stressed that the previous trials of such culprits, which were ended by political settlements, represented an incentive for more violations, adding that the new arrests in this regard showed that the speculators have continued to threaten to national currency amid the severe economic crisis which have debilitated the purchase power of the citizens.
