Caretaker Minister of Public Health, Dr. Hamad Hasan, on Thursday received UN Deputy Special Coordinator Resident & Humanitarian Coordinator for Lebanon Najat Rochdi, and World Health Organization’s Representative in Lebanon Iman Shankiti.
Talks reportedly touched on the national vaccination plan against coronavirus.
Speaking to reporters after the meeting, the health minister reiterated that Lebanon will receive the first batch of the anti-coronavirus vaccines on Saturday at 17:00, adding that the vaccination campaign would be launched on Sunday at the Grand Serail.
Shankiti indicated that her host had confirmed to her that the said plan covered all those residing in Lebanon, including refugees.
Hassan later met with Caretaker Minister of Foreign Affairs, Charbel Wehbe, over the vaccination of diplomatic missions in Lebanon.
Accordingly, the pair agreed to devise a joint mechanism between the two ministries.
Dr. Hasan also received Colombian Ambassador to Lebanon, Fernando Helo.
