Head of National Audiovisual Media Council, Abdul Hadi Mahfouz, issued a statement in which he said he had contacted MTV Chairman, Michel Al-Murr, in protest of the channel’s throwing murder accusations at Hezbollah without submitting any evidence.

The statement pointed that Al-Murr claimed that he did not have the chance to preview the content of the program’s episode because he underwent a medical surgery, adding that MTV Chairman rejected turning the channel to a platform of throwing accusations.

According to the statement, Al-Murr rebuked the presenter Dima Sadek over playing the role of the prosecutor and the judge without having any evidence and ordered her to abide by the rules, noting that Sadek acknowledged her violation.

Meanwhile, Mahfouz urged the media professionals to observe accuracy, abide by law, and avoid the abusive exaggerations.
