The Information Office of the Presidency of the Republic responded to some politicial and media claims about “concessions” that the President of the Republic, General Michel Aoun, must make to facilitate the cabinet formation.
The presidency stressed that the so-called “concessions” are in fact constitutional rights that the President is keen to preserve and call for their realization based on his national, constitutional and charter responsibilities.
“They are responsibilities that can never be included in the dictionary of ‘concessions’ because they are among the constants that cannot be abandoned under any circumstances.”
The Presidency Information Office reminded that the fact that some people continued to claim President Aoun’s demand for the one-third veto share in government, despite repeated refutations, indicates the lack of objectivity and the resort to unrealistic and fabricated arguments.
