Iraqi army unit managed Tuesday morning to liberate Al-Salam Hospital on the left coast of the city of Mosul, and to withdraw militants of the so-called ‘Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant’ (ISIL) terrorist group from the area.

Commander of ‘Nineveh We Are Coming’ operations, Lieutenant-General Abdul Amir Yarallah, stated that “the ninth division armoured unit entered Al-Salam Hospital in the left coast of Mosul,” a statement by the military media cell read.

“Iraqi troops continue the operation of cleansing the hospital of the ISIL elements,” it added.

Iraqi army and the Hash Al-Shaabi (Popular Mobilization Forces) launched a wide-ranging military campaign on Oct. 17 to liberate Mosul from the occupation of ISIL terrorist group.
