Lebanese Army announced on Wednesday that an Israeli enemy gunboat violated the country’s territorial waters off Ras Naqoura on Monday.

In a statement, the Directorate of Orientation of the Lebanese Armed Forces’ Command said the Israeli gunboat infiltrated some 200 meters into the sea.

“At 4:16 pm on 14/12/2020, an Israeli enemy gunboat violated the Lebanese territorial waters off Ras Naqoura, and infiltrated some 200 meters into the sea where it stayed for 4 minutes,” the statement, carried by National News Agency, said.

The breach is being followed up “in coordination with the UNIFIL,” it added.
