Israeli media reported on Tuesday that the airspace of the occupied Golan Heights is closed to civilian flights.
“The Golan Heights airspace, east of the Jordan River, is closed to civilian flights above 5,000 feet,” Ynet reported.
The Israeli online daily added that the ban will stay until July 31.
The measure comes after Syrian air defense systems repelled late Monday an Israeli strike in southern Damascus. The strike injured seven Syrian soldiers and caused material damage, SANA news agency reported.
