Newly released Hezbollah footage highlights a growing pattern of multi-stage FPV drone warfare against Israeli ground assets in south Lebanon.
Starting in Rshaf, where a coordinated two-drone strike targeted Merkava tanks, the engagement, dated May 26, illustrates a structured, multi-drone tactic. One FPV drone initially conducts live reconnaissance, tracking two Merkava tanks and relaying real-time visuals, according to 90-second video released by Hezbollah Military Media.
A second drone then executes a high-speed strike, successfully hitting the first tank, which is later seen burning. In a notable escalation of efficiency, the first drone transitions from surveillance to attack, directly targeting the second tank.
In the Taybe strike, the focus shifts to an Israeli Namer armored vehicle, a heavily protected troop carrier. The FPV drone appears to follow a direct terminal attack profile, flying low and fast with minimal maneuvering before impact, according to the one-minute-video showing the strike dated May 24.
The footage underscores increasing pressure on Israeli armored mobility and survivability in southern Lebanon, with low-cost, adaptive drone tactics reshaping engagement dynamics on the ground.
