Iran has formally demanded compensation from six regional states, accusing them of complicity in recent US-Israeli military aggression that targeted the Islamic Republic.
Tehran’s representative to the United Nations said that Qatar, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait, and Jordan either participated directly in the attacks or allowed their territories including bases, airspace, waters, and soil to be used for launching them.
The Iranian envoy stressed that Tehran exercised its legitimate right to self-defense under the UN Charter, emphasizing that Iran did not initiate the conflict. He called on the six countries to assume full responsibility and provide comprehensive compensation for the damages inflicted.
The demand comes amid fresh reporting that Iranian retaliatory strikes caused far heavier damage to US military installations in the Gulf than previously acknowledged.

According to NBC News, citing anonymous US officials, the extent of damage to US bases following Iranian strikes is “more severe” than publicly disclosed. Multiple sites across the region sustained significant destruction to military infrastructure, raising concerns over operational readiness. The same officials estimated that repair costs will run into the billions of dollars.
The Pentagon has not confirmed the figures, and US authorities have not released detailed damage assessments.
Iran’s UN envoy also sharply criticized the Security Council, stating that its failure to condemn the initial aggression or identify the responsible party has only encouraged further attacks.
The escalation followed a US attack launched from regional bases in coordination with the Israeli occupation on February 28, prompting Iran to respond by targeting US bases in Gulf countries, causing widespread damage.
