Hard Day for Israeli Forces as Hezbollah Turns Southern Lebanon into an Attrition Battlefield

Monday stands out as hard day for the Israeli enemy army in southern Lebanon, as Hezbollah resistance fighters inflicted heavy losses upon forces attempting to advance across multiple axes.

Enemy media acknowledged two distinct yet significant incidents in southern Lebanon: the first involving a drone strike, and the second the detonation of explosive devices targeting military vehicles.

Al-Manar correspondent in southern Lebanon provided a detailed account of the incidents, drawing on firsthand field observations and cross-referenced data from both Hezbollah Military Media statements and enemy military announcements.

Based on the timeline of events and cross-referencing the resistance’s statements, the first incident is most likely linked to the Naqoura area, according to our correspondent.

“In statement No. 34, the resistance announced that at 18:55 on Monday, March 30, 2026, its fighters targeted a gathering of enemy soldiers near Naqoura port using a drone, scoring direct hits. Enemy forces subsequently evacuated the wounded under heavy smoke cover,” Al-Manar correspondent stated.

The second incident likely unfolded along the Ainata-Aitaroun axis, where the confrontation quickly evolved into a complex, multi-layered engagement, according to our correspondent.

Field reporting indicates that this axis became the scene of one of the fiercest enemy attempts to advance that day.

Israeli enemy forces pushed from the heights of Friz and Ginatha toward the Sidr area, only to come under a series of direct strikes targeting both troop concentrations and their supply routes, our correspondent reported

In parallel, enemy units attempted to open an additional breach from Aitaroun toward Ainata. The maneuver was met with intense resistance, resulting in heavy Israeli losses in both personnel and equipment. The fighting combined close-range engagements with the deployment of improvised explosive devices (IEDs), alongside sustained rocket barrages and guided missile strikes that targeted advancing troops and vehicles.

However, field realities suggest that the scale of losses far exceeds what enemy media has disclosed. Its forces have sustained casualties across multiple axes of advance, with armored units continuing to come under guided missile fire even from villages they had previously infiltrated into the Lebanese territories. This was evident in Qawzah, from where enemy forces advanced toward the outskirts of Dibil and onward to Wadi Al-Uyoun, only to remain exposed to persistent strikes.
