In a brazen violation of the declared ceasefire agreement, the Israeli occupation forces continued their systematic military campaign across the Gaza Strip on Tuesday, marking the 279th consecutive day of hostilities with a series of deadly strikes that claimed at least 16 Palestinian lives.

The past 24 hours witnessed a relentless assault spanning the length of the besieged enclave, from Gaza City in the north to Rafah in the south, with attacks targeting residential buildings, a police station, and civilian gathering points.

Prison Targeted in Gaza City

In the latest incident, occupation forces struck Ansar Prison west of Gaza City, wounding several Palestinians. The attack came as part of a wider offensive that saw multiple locations targeted simultaneously.

Entire Family Annihilated in Deir al-Balah

One of the most devastating attacks occurred when Israeli aircraft bombed an apartment belonging to the Abu Qassem family near the Al-Baraka roundabout in Deir al-Balah, in the central Gaza Strip. The strike killed four members of the same family, identified as Omar Sami Ahmed Abu Qassem, 33; his wife, Asmaa Ghazi Abu Qassem; and their six-year-old daughter, Habiba Omar Sami Abu Qassem. The identity of the fourth family member was not immediately disclosed.

Separately, an Israeli drone dropped munitions near the Bani Suheila roundabout east of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip, adding to the mounting civilian toll.

Double Strike Near Mosque Claims Two Lives

In Gaza City, an Israeli drone targeted civilians gathered behind the Sheikh Ajlin Mosque southwest of the city on Tuesday evening. The attack resulted in two martyrs and several wounded. Those killed were identified as Ali Shamlakh and Nasser Al-Louh, both residents of Gaza City.

Police Station Massacre Leaves Six Dead

The most significant single incident occurred yesterday afternoon when the Israeli army committed what local authorities are describing as a massacre, targeting a police station in the Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza.

According to the Ministry of Interior in Gaza, the attack claimed the lives of six security personnel, including the director of the Jabalia Camp police station, Muhammad Marwan Salem. Other victims included officers and personnel Mufid Muhammad Halawa, Ghassan Akram al-Daqas, Ibrahim Faisal Musa, Samih Ramadan al-Aswad, and Abdul-Malik Abdul-Nasser Abu al-Jabin. Civilian Suzan Abu Hindi al-Araj was also killed in the attack.

Eyewitnesses reported that reconnaissance aircraft first fired two missiles at the police station, followed by two more missiles when civilians gathered at the scene to offer assistance—a tactic that has drawn widespread condemnation from human rights organizations.

Southern Gaza: Four More Martyrs

The violence extended to the southern Gaza Strip, where four civilians were martyred and others wounded in a separate series of attacks.

Citizen Bilal Abu Musa, who was working to secure humanitarian aid, was killed by Israeli fire in the Rafah area. His death came shortly after nine-year-old Mutaz Abu Shaar was shot in the chest by Israeli military vehicles that had advanced into the area northwest of Rafah.

Witnesses reported that four military vehicles entered the area in the early morning hours and opened fire on tents housing displaced families in the Rafah area.

In Khan Younis, an Israeli airstrike on the al-Qadisiyah area killed citizen Hussam Muhammad Ramadan al-Shafi’i, 36, and wounded three others, including a child and a woman. Citizen Bassem Armilat also succumbed to wounds sustained in a separate airstrike on the al-Qadisiyah camp west of Khan Younis two days prior.

Humanitarian Crisis Deepens

The Israeli occupation continues its campaign against the Gaza Strip, which has been described by international legal experts as systematic genocide. Despite a declared ceasefire, attacks persist through the bombing and demolition of homes, the direct targeting of civilians, and the continued occupation of Gazan territory—actions that constitute flagrant violations of international humanitarian law.

Since the onset of the Israeli war in October 2023, the death toll in Gaza has reached 73,233 martyrs, with an additional 173,707 wounded, according to local health authorities. The majority of casualties are reported to be women and children, raising urgent questions about the proportionality and legality of the ongoing military operations.
