Head of “Loyalty to Resistance” Parliamentary Bloc, Hajj Mohammad Raad, addressed Monday Imam Sayyed Moussa Al-Sadr on the 48th anniversary of his disappearance in Libya, stressing that His Eminence will remain impervious to enforced abesence.
MP Raad recalled the resounding slogan of Imam Al-Sadr calling for fighting the Israeli enemy even with teeth and fingernails, stressing that the meaning is clear and uninterpretable.
What follows is the translation of the full text of MP Raad’s article published by Al-Akhbar Newspaper:

Here you are on the thirty-first of August 2026—the inspiring Imam, ever-present in the conscience of the honorable, the minds of the people of integrity, and the hearts of the loyal. Your smiling presence flashes with splendor and warmth, quenching the hearts of sincere, loving believers in a world filled with wolves—as you once said—where political management is dominated by the deceitful, the immoral, and those of Pharaonic methods and paths. In every corner, mandated agents hold sway, bound by neither covenant nor conscience. Meanwhile, in the heart of our divided Arab homeland, an occupying, usurping, and brutal racist entity—descended from a line of manipulators of international law and human rights—threatens whenever conditions permit and the prerequisites for expansion and aggression are met.
Your Eminence, the Imam:
Your history, the philosophy of your existence, and your message are encapsulated in a triangle of three pillars: justice of vision, courage of stance, and integrity of performance. Neither homeland, nor nation, nor future for humanity and its peoples can exist without relying on these three pillars—drawn directly from the chest of the leader of the free and master of martyrs, Abu Abdillah Al-Hussein (pbut).
Your turban, your humanity, and your love were the cloud that carried rain until Lebanon became a state, its sects melted together, and a flag fluttered in its sky signaling liberation, calling for dialogue and national understanding, rejecting sectarian discrimination, oppression, and disenfranchisement, and supporting resistance against occupation, aggression, and threats.
As for your resounding slogan, to which the deprived on their land and those deprived of their land submitted: “Israel is absolute evil; fight it with your teeth and fingernails,” it remains the master of the field, its meaning clear and uninterpretable. There is no recognition of evil nor reconciliation with it, but rather a continuous, relentless resistance against it without surrender or submission to the aggressors. The lack of weaponry is neither a persuasive nor valid pretext for compromisers or cowardly defectors. Teeth and fingernails become the most effective weapons for confrontation when backed by an unyielding will to resist—unwavering against reckless negotiation ploys or foolish wagers on the criminal self-proclaimed friends supporting aggression against Lebanon.
“Israel is absolute evil” is a slogan that cuts off every avenue used by the foolish to evade the duty of defense, steadfastness, and confrontation against this evil, or to rush into submission to the conditions of the aggressive, usurping, and threatening occupier.
Adherence to this slogan preserves the meaning of Lebanon as a final homeland for all its citizens—rich in its diverse sects, yet afflicted by the sectarianism of those governing it.
Because the enemy and its allies realized the true meaning of this slogan, they lay in wait for Your Eminence and conspired to enforce your disappearance. They targeted, and will continue to target, everyone who walks this path in Lebanon, Iran, Palestine, Yemen, and Iraq, and across our oppressed world that will neither tire nor falter. It will persevere in its resistance until the rightful owners reclaim their rights, secure their homelands, and expel the thieves and aggressors from their sanctuaries and lands.
So, O caller of the cry of truth from our country to the oppressors in all lands: rest assured that today you possess an even greater presence in the hearts of all the oppressed and the resistance fighters. Your sons possess a deeper understanding and greater pride in the roadmap you laid out to champion truth, establish justice, and safeguard the homeland for all its people.
We, your sons—the brothers of the Supreme Martyr Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah and His Excellency Speaker Nabih Berri, in Hezbollah and the Amal Movement, alongside our comrades, allies, and partners in the approach you outlined—will not deviate, hesitate, falter, or surrender. We will continue to resist; weapons remain the adornment of men among us, and God is our supporter. This is our pledge, promise, and commitment. The blessed Islamic Revolution in Iran—its leadership, officials, and people—remains the finest support for Lebanon and the Resistance, fulfilling the testament of Imam Khomeini (may his secret be sanctified) before, followed by Imam Khamenei, the leader and martyr, as well as the leader Sayyed Mojtaba (may his protection and glory endure). The land is our land, to be liberated by our people and their hero resistance fighters, while the occupation shall harvest nothing but disappointment and demise.
His Eminence, the vanished Imam Sayyed Musa al-Sadr… Peace be upon you, the peace of the resistance fighters committed to your slogan, and peace be upon your two companions vanished alongside you, as well as the mercy of God and His blessings.
