Three fighters of Iraq’s volunteer force fighting Takfiri terrorists were martyred and 13 others were injured in an attack by ISIL insurgents on Tuesday.
The Popular Mobilization Forces, also known as Hashd Shaabi, announced that three of its unarmed members were killed and thirteen others were injured as ISIL insurgents slip into civilians returning to a liberated area west of Mosul.
The PMF fighters were attacked as they were going back from Tal Jahsh town, after they help refugees to return to their hometown, the PMF said in a statement, calling on Iraqi police to boost their deployment in the areas liberated from ISIL insurgents and to raise security measures there.
“These acts prove how cowards are the terrorists to slip among civilians and attack unarmed members of Hashd Shaabi who were aiding refugees,” the PMF said in the statement.
